Chip & Bytes is proud to celebrate our 5th year in the Carlsbad Village. As we continue to grow and figure out “what works” in the field of technology we are trying to share more and more of our experiences and expertise with our clients.
Carlsbad Tax Preparation Services is about to open for business near us. The owner, Edward, an Enrolled Agent and tax expert, came to us looking for tech help. Edward was different than most clients we help because he is starting with a brand new business. This allowed us to approach his situation similar to restoring a car – we are starting from the ground up.
We helped Edward to get his website going – http://www.carlsbadtax.com – including hosting and basic setup. Edward wanted a simple website to communicate with his clients. Beyond his website Edward also wanted help with SEO and his online reputation. We are happy to help with both.
On the computer side we set Edward up with a workstation and monitor recommendation that lets him crank out tax returns while running cool and not heating up his office. When it comes to services – Edward is all cloud. We are proud to be a Microsoft Partner specializing in Edward is using Microsoft’s Exchange Online service to keep his e-mail backed up in the cloud and synced between his Outlook, Phone, Tablet, and Laptop. Edward is using Microsoft’s new OneDrive cloud storage for business – meaning he will never have to risk his client’s important information to a hard drive crash.
We also set Edward up with a Google Nexus phone capable of syncing his Exchange e-mail and remote into his office computer in case he needs to check on something over the weekend. The Nexus also picks up his OneDrive account, meaning he has his files everywhere he goes.
We are dedicated to researching, leaning, and implementing new business solutions that help small businesses take off and grow. We are proud to be Yelp’s #1 Rated Computer Repair & IT outlet in North County 5 years running. We like to think our knowledge of small business technology has something to do with our consistently great service. Of course we ultimately have to thank our customers – many of whom are small business and self-employed individuals who we are happy to help with their technology needs.
